Two Dragons DF
2022 | OLD Colt |Casall ASK x Overkill DF (Hickstead White/The Twain | STUNNING IN EVERY WAY
Two Dragons DF is impeccably bred to be an elite sport horse with phenomenal lines on the top and bottom of his papers.
He is sired by Casall who is considered to be one of the most elegant of the Landgraf sons out of one of the most successful Holsteiner mare lines. With his prolific Grand Prix career under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson making debuts at some of the most challenging courses such as the London 2012 Olympics, Herning Europeans, and World Equestrian Games. His exceptional offspring have put him in the top spot on the WBFSH sire rankings for 6 years. At 18, Casall was retired from competition fit as a fiddle.
The international star Casall won his first Grand Prix under Rolf Goran Bengstsson in 2008, from there the pair went on to place all of the worlds premier showjumping competitions. In 2010 Casall won the Grand Prix in Rotterdam, the following year they went on to place first in Hamburg and Monte Carlo legs of the Global Champions Tour and the World Cup in Lyon. In 2012 he made his debut in the 2012 London Olympics, in 2013 he was second at the Grand Prix in Ommen and Zurich, fourth individually in the European Championships in Herning. 2014 in the Global Champions Tour he competed 6 out of the 7 jump offs won in Chantilly and DOha and placed second overall.
Casall’s sire Caretino counts among the Holsteiner studbook’s top sires. Through Caletto II, another exceptional breeding stallion, the sire line traces back to once-in-a-century stallion Cor de la Bryère. He went on to win numerous young jumper classes showing his outstanding jumping technique. At 5 and at 6 years old, Caretino participated in the Bundeschampionate under Thomas Schöning. Bo Kristoffersen took over the ride on him a year later and commenced competing at Grand Prix and Nations Cup level. They accumulated 40 placings at S level together.
Casall’s dam Kira traces back to stem 890, one of the most successful Holsteiner performance mare families. At the 2005 stallion grading in Neumünster, her son Clarence by Carano attracted a lot of attention and won reserve champion. Casall’s second dam, Maltia by Raimond, produced Taura (by Lord), and Taura in her turn produced the licensed stallions Ringo Starr and Cesano I and II. The successful international sport horses, Crocodile Dandy (Alison Firestone) and Conally (Markus Renzel), are out of Taura, as well.
Casall is in a class of his own also as a breeding stallion. Various international top level competitions saw Casall compete against his own offspring – impressive evidence for his ability to pass on his quality. Only some of his offspring highly successful at international level will be mentioned, like for example Cupfer, a top prospect at the stable of Marcus Ehning, H&M Chilli Willi with Nicola Philippaerts (BEL), Austria with Kent Farrington, Caillou with Karl Cook, Casallvano with Daniel Deusser, Cita with Daniel Coyle, Chesall Zimequest with Simon Delestre (FRA), Casello under Ludger Beerbaum, Cristallo A LM with Philippe Rozier (FRA), Wunschkind with Eric van der Vleuten (NED), Casall under Ali Wolff (USA), and Caracas under Jos Verlooy (BEL), to name just a few.
Year upon year, Casall foals stand out for their convincing charm and class. On the occasion of his 2017 retirement from competition in Hamburg, eight elite foals by Casall were knocked down at an average price of almost 22,000 euros; the highest-priced foal of the 2017 Elmshorn foal auction, which changed hands at 34,000 euros, was by Casall, as well. At last year’s Stephex auction sale, the highest-priced foal were by Casall, as well, with a Casall-Kannan filly knocked down at 96,000 euros and a Casall-Vigo d’Arsouille filly sold at 50,000 euros. A three-year-old Casall daughter drew particular attention in the Holsteiner elite riding horse collection and was knocked down at 150,000 euros.
Two Dragons’ dam sire is Hicktead White, the winning stallion of 30-day test in 2015. A stallion of fascinating type, Hickstead White is clearly underlined by the performance of his internationally successful ancestors. He is the only licensed son of Olympic Champion Hickstead on German soil. He demonstrates outstanding ability in view of technique, bascule, power and scope; blessed with an absolutely excellent jumper pedigree. Accordingly, he finished his 30-day test as overall winner (8.32) as well as very best stallion in jumping (8.75) in Neustadt (Dosse) in 2015. That year, Hickstead White was also much frequented in breeding, so that we eagerly await the 2016′ foaling season.
Hickstead White is blessed with a pedigree you can only call “superb”. One by one, greats of the jumping horse breeding can be found like pearls on a string. His sire, Hickstead, won with his Canadian rider Eric Lamaze more than 1.5 million Euro in prize money, earned 220,000 Dollar only for his victory in the Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows. Highlight of his career was the win of the gold medal in the individual jumping class at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong 2008. In the following years he collected many victories in competitions up to CSI five-star level such as the Grand Prix at the CSIO in Aachen, the World Cup final in Leipzig, the Grand Prix of Rome and again the international Grand Prix in Calgary.
The dam Queentina was reserve champion mare at the Brilliantring in Rastede in 2011, finished her mare performance test with striking scores up to 10.0 for free-jumping and won under Tobias Meyer in international show jumping in 2014, at the age of only six. In 2015 this outstanding pair won the international “Young Horse Trophy” of the K&K Cup in Münster.
The dam’s sire Coupe de Coeur and René Tebbel became German Champion twice, in Münster in 2006 and in Gera in 2007. Quidam’s Rubin, found third in the line of ancestors, was stallion performance test winner and produced in just a short time in breeding, in comparative terms, more than 30 licensed sons as well as 168 successful advanced (S) level show jumpers.
Finally, Two Dragons brings the blood of the great Thoroughbred stallion, The Twain. The Twain’s sire, Green Dancer, was a stakes winner in France, winning the French Classic before retiring to stud. He went on to Kentucky for breeding, where he sired many million dollar winners, as well as steeplechase stars. Green Dancer was named the French Leading Sire in 1991.
The Twain brings the blood of NIJINSKY to the front of his papers as his grandsire. During Nijinsky’s brilliant career, he became an English Triple Crown winner, set a European earnings record, was Europe’s Horse of the Year in 1970, and was syndicated for a world-record price. He was historically important for establishing the international reputation of his sire, Northern Dancer. Retired to stud at Claiborne Farm in Kentucky, Nijinsky was the Leading Sire in Great Britain, Ireland and eventually the Leading Broodmare Sire in North America.
Sir Tristram, sire of The Twain’s dam, was the greatest Thoroughbred stud in New Zealand racing history. He was Irish-bred and raced in Ireland, England, France and also in the U.S. in the Kentucky Derby. He was then bought and retired to stud in New Zealand, where he sired over 140 stakes winners and an extraordinary 45 group one winners, including three Melbourne Cup winners. One of the most sought after performance sire lines of modern day breeding, Sir Tristram’s influence has been incredibly widespread, particularly in International Show Jumping and Eventing.
As you can see, Two Dragons DF is destined for greatness as those who came before him. Truly, he is a rare diamond for the discriminating buyer. 25k
Hemsworth DF ~ SOLD
2020 | Holsteiner gelding | Herald III x Colombia BF (Diarado/Cassini II) | CLASSIC BEAUTY
Hemsworth DF is one of the nicest foals we have produced at this farm and we proudly offer him to the most discriminating buyer. “Christopher” just oozes talent, beauty and ability. Simply put, he is stunning to behold, with his every step full of expression that never touches the ground. His gaits will make any sport horse fan drool, while his looks are that of classic paintings and little girl’s dreams. He has an outgoing and kind temperament, with a healthy dose of respect, and is a pleasure to work with.
Christopher is by the International Grand Prix Show Jumper, Herald III. “Blood will tell” and Herald’s sire, the Thoroughbred stallion Heraldik xx continues to ‘speak’ through his offspring in show jumping (Herald with Hoyo de Monterey), in dressage (H-Ekwador), but most notably in Eventing.
Herald was very successful at 1.60m under several riders: Pilar Lucrecia Cordon Muro, Markus Beerbaum, Eric Lamaze and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum placing very well – for example 1st Nations Cup Barcelona, 1st GP Vejer de la Frontera, 1st GP Saint Lo, 3rd Nations Cup Rome, 4th Nations Cup Lummen, 4th GP Mechelen, 5th Nations Cup La Baule, 7th GP Gijon, 7th Nations Cup Madrid, etc.
Performing at the highest levels for more than 8 years, and with his interesting and proven family, we believe Herald can be an asset for breeding bringing the optimum blend of blood and sport.
A show-jumper himself, the Czech-bred Heraldik xx has held the ‘WBFSH Leading Sires-Eventing’ first position since 2009 (no. 2 in 2008) particularly through his top offspring – Halunke FBW, RF Tabasco, FRH Butts Abraxxas. We also find other top thoroughbred stallions in Herald’s pedigree: Ladykiller xx, Manometer xx, Cottage Son xx and Anblick xx.
Also Herald’s damline is strong: Herald’s half-brother Coolman jumped in Grand Prix’s and World Cups under Pius Schwizer. Dam Alassia also gave international jumper Merlin. Granddam Sasskia brought the famous Falke, who was ridden so successfully by Gerhard Wiltfang. This dam-line has also brought Larimar, Carlot, and Elastic Dream. Herald’s dam-sire was by the very great TB, Ladykiller xx. Our own beloved 5***** eventing performer, High Times, shares Heraldik as a grandsire with Herald.
Christopher’s dam, Colombia BF, is by the world famous producer and grand prix show jumper, Diarado. Her dam-sire, Cassini II is well known for producing elite sport horses with super temperaments. She is also the dam of Hallelujah DF, who holds the record for the top jumping score in the US for young event horses (93%) and was undefeated her entire three year career in the USEA FEH. Under saddle, Hallelujah has been spectacular, winning most of her shows and finishing on sub-20 scores. Hemsworth DF is a 3/4 sibling to Hallelujah DF.
Minnie Comet DF
2020| Connemara/Thoroughbred Filly | R Blue Moon x Lady’s Comet | FUN SIZED SPORT
Who doesn’t love the upper level connie/TB cross?! You know we’ve all cheered the loudest for the 5* pony cross that has the guts to take on the big horses at Kentucky. So if you want to be the fan favorite at every event across the country, “Minnie” is your girl. She is bright, confident, and is just the absolute perfect blend of her clever pony sire and stretchy-strided TB mother. Minnie will take you all the way to front page news every time, probably with a great big smile on your face.
Minnie’s strong top line and short back will certainly produce the adjustable stride we all dream of in front of the technical fences, while her long legged ratio to body and brave nature will give her the scope to cross the country and clear the widest gallop fences. She will no doubt be stout and strong, and always ready for the next adventure.
She lived out, but is now up in the barn for work, and lunges and ties well. She is smart as a whip and enjoys new challenges. Minnie has been solidly started under saddle and is very willing and quiet bon the flat and over small fences! She is one for a rider who wants to go places. 28.5k

Castle Rock DF
2021 | Premium Oldenburg Gelding | Casall x Stonebridge (Grindstone xx) | REFINED LUXURY
Castle Rock DF, or “Cass” as he is known at the barn, is quite frankly one of the nicest foals we have seen. Bred in the purple, there is no doubt this colt should be a world beater. He will certainly shine brightly as many in his family have done in their respective fields. Cass was purpose bred for eventing and we are quite sure he has all the makings to go to the top. He has an elegant stride in all three gaits, with power and style that will carry him easily through the phases of eventing. His unbelievable neck ends in a beautifully clean throat, topped by an exquisite head. To coincide with his perfect conformation, he is inquisitive, brave, friendly and kind. At his Oldenburg Inspection he totally charmed the judge with his movement and obviously great personality, earning a Premium rating.
Castle Rock DF is by the unparalleled Holstiener stallion, Casall Ask. Casall is considered by many the “stallion of the century”. He is rated among the top show jumpers in the world, winner of innumerable Grand Prix’s throughout Europe, and represented Sweden at the London Olympics. His earnings per Horse Telex is an astounding 5,531,563 Euros. Casall retired from competition at the age of 18 completely sound.
More over he has proven himself as an incredible sire, having 282 approved sons so far, and 79 foals currently competing at 1.60m Show Jumping. His breeding influence in upper level eventing includes four star horses Solaguayre California, Coin Toss, and Easy Turn. There are not too many direct foals by Casall in the United States and we are extremely excited to have one.
Castle Rock’s dam, Stonebridge is approved in the Oldenburg Mare Book and is by the Kentucky Derby Winner, Grindstone, a sire well known for producing sport horses as well as race horses. Grindstone’s grandsire is Fappiano, who is also the sire of Comet Shine, the stallion responsible for America’s great Event Champion, Courageous Comet. Our own Grindstone son here at Dragonfire, Stoneman, is a delight to work with and has all the makings of an International star.
Castle Rock DF is a superb sport prospect. 35k
